Terms & Conditions

By Using Chino’s Happy Dog House’ Services, you agree to the following:

Health, Safety and Emergencies

  • All dogs must be fit to walk and up to date on flea, tick and worming treatments.
  • I am not liable for any illness, infestation or injury which may befall a dog whilst in my care, but will act quickly and responsibly, including contacting you and a vet if necessary. Any vet bills will be the owner’s responsibility.
  • Female dogs welcome, but unfortunately not during their season (2 to 3 weeks).
  • I am canine first aid trained and carry a first aid kit and will always prioritise the dogs wellbeing in an emergency.

Dog Behaviour and Compatibility

  • Your dog must be sociable and safe to walk in a group setting.
  • If a dog displays undue aggression, severe anxiety or is otherwise incompatible with the group, I reserve the right to terminate walks immediately and permanently, with notice to the owner.
  • The Owner is liable for any harm directly caused by their dog towards another dog or person.

Equipment

  • A collar and/or well-fitted harness must be provided.
  • All dogs must wear an ID tag and have a microchip with up-to-date owner details on it.
  • A tracking device attached to the dog’s collar/harness is desirable.
  • Good to have- a towelling robe for wet days which I can pop them in when they get home and also a cooling bandana/suit for hot days to keep them comfortable.
  • If your dog causes damage to any equipment or home i.e. car, leads, beds etc the owner must take responsibility and will be charged accordingly.

Access

  • Dogs must be ready to go at the pre-agreed time.
  • If you're not home, a key must be provided. It will be safely stored and returned upon termination of services.

Invoicing & Payment

  • Invoices are issued at the end of each calendar month unless an ongoing standing order has been pre-arranged.
  • Payment is due by the 3rd of each month unless we have discussed and agreed on an alternative arrangement.
  • For regular Clients, the fee for any additional boarding bookings will be included in your monthly invoice.
  • For any ad hoc clients, Boarding bookings will be charged upfront on the day that the boarding commences.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
  • Cancellations made with 24–48 hours’ notice can be rescheduled to an alternative date within the same calendar month (Monday-Friday only and subject to availability). If rescheduling does not occur, 50% of the full fee will be charged.
  • No charge for cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice.
  • Clients can take up to 4 weeks holiday per calendar year, during which time your dog’s space will be placed on hold without charge. Please provide at least 14 days notice to reserve your space upon return.
  • If you wish to terminate your regular booking, please provide 4 weeks written notice via text or email.

General

  • Clients who book their dogs in for set days each week will take priority over ad-hoc clients, and those clients will be booked in on a first come first serve basis.
  • Collection for Daycare is usually between 10-11am and drop off is usually between 4-5pm. Please note that these times may vary slightly due to traffic, weather conditions and the route required for the dogs I have on the day.
  • If you require additional hours on top of the regular daycare or boarding hours, this can usually be accommodated but will incur a charge. Pre arranged additional time will be charged at half the price of ‘on the day’ add-ons.
  • Make sure to get in touch by Midday on Saturday to secure your spaces or any changes for the week ahead.
  • Walks may be adjusted in duration or format in the event of extreme weather, unsafe conditions, or dog fatigue to ensure safety.
  • Dogs will be walked off-lead only if they show good recall and with owners consent.
  • I reserve the right to use photos and videos of your dog for marketing (e.g. social media), unless you request otherwise.
  • I provide treats for all dogs, but if your dog has a specific dietary requirement, please provide the appropriate treats.
  • Chino’s Happy Dog House holds appropriate Pet Business Insurance with Protectivity Insurance.
